Cebu is one of the most popular places to visit in the Philippines nowadays, there are a lot of tourist spots that you can pay a visit there especially in South Cebu like Oslob, Kawasan Falls, Tumalog Falls, OsmeΓ±a Peak and Moalboal which are the places we visited in our Cebu tour, but aside from this there are a lot of places that you can include in your tour when you have a lot of time, coz in our case we only had 2 days to tour South Cebu.
If you also have like a week vacation you can even visit North Cebu particularly Bantayan Island, San Remigio which has the longest shoreline in Cebu, Malapascua "The Little Boracay" of Cebu and a lot more. But I will only write about our South Cebu tour, for now, soon we will visit North Cebu and write about it as well.
We booked our plane ticket 2 months before our tour, luckily PAL has a seat sale that time, so we grab the chance and book our flight for February 23 to 26, 2018, which costs P2,700+ per head Round trip!!!! super sulit for a 4-star class airline :)
My friend did a lot of research to do our itinerary, the places, how to commute, the costs etc, coz, of course, we always do the DIY trips para tipid <3. Here's our Itinerary, along with the budget and contact nos.
Days before our tour, Ten ten (the one who made our itinerary) told us about her friend (Albert) who's in Cebu at the moment and he wanted to join us in our tour, and we all agreed. We call him Momshie hahah! He offered their L300 service to us for a hassle-free tour! Commuting no more! we just need to provide money for the gasoline and he's our driver! An angel sent from above! <3. So we saved time, effort and MONEY! Yahoo!!!!
Going back, we arrived at Cebu around 6pm and met Momshie in a restaurant (Matias Chicken) 30 mins away from the airport if there's no traffic haha! I thought I will never experience traffic there but we did, after almost an hour we arrived at the restaurant and eat as if we were starving for a whole day already hahaha!!! The food there was amazing! you should try it!
After dinner, we brought some stuff in a grocery across the street and went to Vista a place like Love Locks Tower in Seoul, about 10 to 15 mins away from the resto. There, we saw the Cebu city lights! they also have a restaurant there at the top, you can take pictures there as long as you want and they don't ask for an entrance fee whatsoever, cool right???
After picture taking we immediately travel to Bacalla campsite to rest, we only paid 150 pesos each without breakfast (P200 with breakfast). They were very accommodating and friendly! the place is so refreshing. We pitched our tent there and rest for the night, you can also rent a tent or hammock if you want to, they also have musical instruments there! guitar, keyboard etc. We didn't have a lot of time to stay there coz we need to travel to Oslob early in the morning.
We immediately travel to Oslob after a cup of coffee. Yuhoooo here we gooooo!!!
After a few hours, we finally arrived at Oslob, we registered and paid P500 each (for 30 minutes) and waited for our turn, it's quite hard to take a picture with the whale because there were a lot of tourists that time, also we are not allowed to go far and chase the whale, but the experience is quite overwhelming! It's somehow scary when you see it!!!! HAHAHAHA

After Oslob, we decided to go to tumalog falls which were not really in our itinerary, but yey! we still have time. How to get there? You need to hire habal habal if you don't have a car.
We arrived at the jump-off after about 15 minutes, there were habal habal for rent (P50 Roundtrip per head) there but you can also trek (15 minutes) if you want to, in our case we decided to trek hehehe! Tipid moves!. And YEEEEESSS!!!! it was worth the try, the falls is amazing!!! we paid P30 only!!! for the entrance fee.
From Tumalog Falls to OsmeΓ±a Peak! the highest peak in Cebu. We travelled about an hour to get there and the weather suddenly became gloomy but somehow the view is still amazing! The trail is easy, good for the beginners, you can also trek there without a guide it's about less than 30 mins to the summit, it's quite cold and you can compare the place to Baguio. There were rock formations that will give you an amazing view of the whole place, but you need to be very careful!.
Picture, picture time!
Done for the first day! (2hrs from OsmeΓ±a Peak to Moalboal estimated time) We stayed at Moalboal for a night after OsmeΓ±a Peak, we pitched our tent there so in the morning we will immediately start our tour. There are a lot of Carinderia in the place where you can have your dinner and breakfast for a cheap price :)
Good Morning Moal Boal!!!! We had our breakfast first before heading to our tour. We rented a boat for P2,300 (Sardines Run and Pescador Island) plus P100 each for the registration. You need to go to the registration area first by boat before going to Pescador island and then Sardines run.
The Whole Moalboal tour was worth it, the beautiful corals of pescador island were so amazing!!!!!!! The sardines run!!!! WOAH!!!! I thank God for all the sea creatures! I love'em all!
Next stop! Kawasan Falls! Jump Jump All the way!!!! We paid P1,500 per head here :) For the tour guide's contact no. you can get it here it's written on the layout (picture) along with our IT.
The canyoneering is the highlight of our Cebu tour! It was really fun! at first, I was very confident about the idea of jumping at the 40 ft falls! but when I had the chance I have to admit that I thought of not jumping hahah! but a few minutes more I was able to do it! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and that was an amazing experience!!!!!!!!! after jumping I look at the falls and was really overwhelmed that I did it! HAHAHAH! For all those planning to include canyoneering on their Cebu tour! you should definitely include jumping at the 40 ft falls on your bucket list! You'll feel amazed and you'll be proud of yourself! It would be difficult at first, trust me you'll think twice, thrice and many times hahah! but once you jump! Your life will never be the same! hahaha! Just believe in yourself!!!! buhay ka pa naman pag nakatalon ka!
Anyway, that sums up our CEBU tour!
P.S if you're planning to do a pure DIY trip you can base on our attached IT and budget expenses.
